1) Automatic Point Reduction:

If you have been charged with a traffic offense carrying a point assessment of 4 points or 3 points, and your case is payable as indicated on the front of your ticket, you are eligible for an automatic point reduction.

After you have paid your ticket, the Prosecution Division will AUTOMATICALLY reduce the number of points assessed against your DMV record by 2 points. Payments can be made here, or pursuant to the instructions on your ticket/summons.

If you have missed your court date and a warrant has been issued, there may be additional costs associated with the missed court date. Please contact the Municipal Court at (719)-385-5928 if you have any questions regarding a missed court date.

2) Email Disposition Process

The Email Disposition Process requires you to fill out a request AT LEAST 72 HOURS BEFORE your court date. If you would like to resolve your case over email you must fill out the “Remote Disposition Request Form” form below with all of the requested information and click submit.  Once you submit the request an Advisement of Rights form will be displayed. You must print, sign in both areas, and email the signed Advisement of Rights form to the Court. Then, your case will be reviewed by the City Attorney’s Prosecution Division and an offer will be extended to you. You will receive an emailed plea offer and setting sheet for a review court date. If you accept the plea, your case will be set for the review date.  If you pay your fines and costs before that date, it will be cancelled and you do not need to appear.

3) Mail Disposition Process

If you would like to resolve your case via mail, you must fill out the “Remote Disposition Request Form” below with all of the requested information, and indicate that you would like to resolve the case via mail instead of email.  Please note: the mail disposition process takes longer to process, and payment is required up front at the same time as the plea paperwork is returned.

Remote plea offers are not negotiable, therefore if you choose to reject your plea offer, if you want to negotiate the plea further, or if you wish to contest the ticket you MUST appear in person.

If you have missed your court date and a warrant has been issued, there may be additional costs associated with the missed court date. Please contact the Municipal Court at (719)-385-5928 if you have any questions regarding a missed court date.
