Implementing PlanCOS - Celebrating Unique Places
The Council of Neighbors and Organizations (CONO) and the Planning & Community Development Department will be co-sponsoring celebration event on Thursday, July 18th. A panel of neighborhoodA geographic sub-area within the city that contains but is not limited to residential land uses. The extent of a neighborhood is variable and may be defined by tradition, organizational boundaries, period of building and development, or subdivision patterns. Neighborhood boundaries may include such features as major streets or other physical elements. association representatives will talk about engaging their neighborhoods around unique and special places. Plan on joining Mayor Suthers, City Council members and community partners to celebrate a special place, partake in some food and drink from local businesses, and meet some neighbors.

Take the Colorado Springs Affordable Housing Survey. Input from this survey will be used to help shape and focus the development of our Attainable HousingAttainable housing means decent, attractive, safe, and sanitary accommodation that is affordable for the full spectrum of the city's residents. While a cost of no more than 30% of gross household income is a good rule of thumb for affordability, there will be some circumstances where higher or lower thresholds may be more applicable. Plan which is one of the key initiatives recommended in PlanCOS. This survey closes on June 16, 2019. After that look for the results on the Community Development page.
