Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site will celebrate the start of the summer season on Saturday, June 1 with the annual sheep shearing event. The public is invited to tour the historic sites at Colorado Springs’ premier Living History Museum. American Indians, homesteaders, farmers, gardeners, a blacksmith, and high-society interpreters will offer tours, while the sheep are sheared throughout the day. Demonstrations will include sheep dog herding, carding, spinning, dying and weaving. The General Store will be selling gifts made from the Ranch’s sheep.
Admission: Living History Association (LHA) Members are Free. Regular Admission: $8 Adults, $5 Seniors, $4 Ages 6 – 17, and children 5 and under are free.
